For us sports enthusiasts it’s important to remember that with every action there is a reaction. Just the other day I realized that was indeed the painful truth. They don’t make new feet do they? This is when I also realized that getting older sometimes hurts. I play soccer on a weekly basis and have been playing soccer since I was ten. That’s 28 years that I have been playing! Yikes!! I have come to the conclusion that older is not always wiser when it comes to sports. My body just doesn’t do what it used to and it doesn’t heal as fast as it used to either. Ice packs help in most situations as does rest and relaxation. And for those times when you just have to play and can’t sit on the sidelines there’s sports tape, knee wraps and ankle wraps.
